Spinster Wine Company is a labor of love, born of a dream after working at a beautiful Willamette Valley winery, and come to fruition through knowing some really cool, talented and helpful people - not to mention four decidedly difficult and completely perfect cats.

I, Shea, the dreamer of this dream (and proud parent of the four aforementioned felines), took a leap of faith in 2022 and left my unsatisfying, yet stable, desk job behind to pursue my desire to work in wine. I was lucky to land in the tasting room at a fantastic local winery, and was later given the opportunity to work my first harvest there. After harvest, my butt was solidly kicked, but my heart knew that I was always going to need to have a place in the world of wine.

Fast forward a few years and here I am, with a label all my own, and the same four cats to keep me honest.

I believe in doing things my own way, even if it’s sometimes (often) the hard way, and never forgetting how incredibly lucky I am to have been born in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. A place that is second to none in its beauty, and not less importantly, a place that has the soil and climate and can-do spirit to produce show-stopping, world-class wines.
